The mid segment of your face dictates your beauty. An attractive mid-face (cheeks) can enhance your beauty.
Cheek Augmentation is a procedure to enhance the appearance of one’s cheeks. This is a relatively minor procedure that restructures cheekbones thus balancing facial features and restoring a youthful and vibrant appearance. The desired result is a change in the shape or size of the cheek or a correction of flaws caused by birth defects or injury.
This is a non – surgical, simple, fast, and uncomplicated procedure. Cheek Augmentation (Cheek Implants) helps to boost self-esteem. This procedure gives the face a more proportional and balanced appearance. Cheek fillers on older patients allow for a fuller, plumper look, especially if the face is looking sunken in, drawn, or aged. Younger women who have flat cheekbones go for cheek fillers to get the chic high cheekbone look of fashion models. Underdeveloped cheekbones make other facial features appear more prominent. This procedure is often performed in combination with full face rejuvenation like - lip, temple &chin Augmentation.
Cheek fillers can be done to create a variety of shapes and sizes that are customized to fit each individual`s face. The fillers used are made of HA (Hyuluronic acid) a safe, non-reactive, and long-lasting material that can always be easily removed or changed at a later date if so desired.
The first consultation a patient has with the doctor will be to identify what is required for her/him to get the desired look. The procedure can take as little as 30-45 minutes to perform and has minimal down time.
A variety of filling agents are available to fill up deep lines and wrinkles on the face by means of injections.
As we age, our skin becomes more susceptible to wrinkles and sagging. Sun exposure and years of muscle movement (i.e., smiling, chewing, and squinting) also contribute to tissue breakdown of the skin.
Fortunately, there are innovative cosmetic procedures to help ease this aging process and sustain one’s youth

Intradermal injections of hyaluronic acid (a naturally occurring substance present in all living organisms) can fill in grooves, expression lines, wrinkles, irregularities and depressions. The most common areas for treatment are the lines around the nose and mouth, the frown lines between the eyebrows, and the lips, cheeks and chin for contouring and enhancement.
Hyaluronic acid is not animal derived, so unlike collagen it requires no pre-testing. However, since it is made from natural substances, it is unfortunately not permanent. Though some patients have reported results lasting up to two years, however six to nine months is the norm.
More recently, the addition of a mild anesthetic in the hyaluronic acid formula has all but eliminated the pain associated with the injection process.
Clean the area to be treated and apply topical anesthetic if required, wait for 30-45 minutes for it to take effect, clean off the anesthesia , take a picture then start the procedure of injecting filler with a fine needle.
Dermal fillers will restore the volume of the skin. The effects of dermal fillers last from 9 to 12 months. You may feel some redness, bruising, swelling and mild lumpiness after the treatment.
Q. What are the Dermal Fillers?

Dermal filler injections reintroduce the hyaluronic acid back in to your body. Dermal filler injections can be used in a variety of areas to add volume to the skin.
Q. Is cheek fillers injections safe?
A. Yes, Hyaluronic Acid inject able fillers like Voluma are safe and FDA-approved for use in the cheeks and midface.
Q. How long will my cheek fillers last?
A. Filler results normally last from several months to a year, depending upon the specific filler used.
Q. Should I follow any instructions after the filler procedure?
• Avoid facial massage for 2 days after the procedure
• Avoid strenuous exercise for 2 days
• Avoid excessive sun exposure or heat for 2-3 days
• Try to sleep on your back, if possible for the two nights following your procedure

A thread lift is a minimally invasive, rejuvenating treatment that uses specialized surgical threads to lift sagging skin, giving a tighter, more youthful appearance.
FACE LIFT WITH THREAD:
These threads help lift the face by first lifting back up the fallen upper cheeks and then lifting and tightening along the jaw line. This one-two punch creates a natural result, without any of the recovery and downtime of surgery. This innovative facelift procedure can be performed in just one hour. During a thread facelift, Dr Reema Arora inserts thin threads into the face through tiny incisions made in the targeted area. These threads attach to the skin tissue and are then pulled back to lift and smooth the face. Almost immediately, treated areas will be raised slightly, eliminating sagging and giving patients a rejuvenated appearance. After the procedure you may experience some light bruising, dimples from the entry points of the threads, swelling or redness, which will subside on their own within a few days.
1. HOLLOW CHEEKS: Loss of Volume from our cheeks is very ageing but a Thread Lift can tighten and stimulate collagen production, which fills the hollow.
2. JOWLS: As we age and gravity takes its toll, jowls can from around the jaw lines and can create the effect of excess skin.
3. SAGGING SKIN: The mild to moderate sagging of cheeks is caused by the ageing process but can be rectified by Thread Lift treatment.
4. DEEP WRINKLES: Folds and lines around the nose and chin are caused by fat pads in our face slipping due to age.
First, local anesthesia will be used to numb the areas that are going to be treated, and then a small instrument (a thin cannula or needle) will be used to insert the threads below the skin. This entire process usually takes just 30 to 45 minutes, and the patient is free to return to work afterward.
Your skin will look immediately firmer, with lines and wrinkles appearing softer. Gradual results will also be seen over time as the Polylactic acid gets to work for a natural look. Collagen production will be stimulated and lost volume will be restored.
Q. What is a thread lift?
A. The threads are made from Polylactic acid and PDO. The threads are inserted into the subcutaneous tissue, which is 5mm underneath the skin’s surface, and boast a special patented design. Over time they gradually stimulate collagen production to restore facial volume and smooth out deep lines and wrinkles.
You will enjoy a dual effect following your Thread Lift treatment, first you will see an instant 1-2cm lift created by the threads. Then six to eight weeks after your treatment you will see a rejuvenating effect due to increased production of collagen, which is caused by the breakdown of the thread. The threads are completely biodegradable and will be safely absorbed by the body over ten to eleven months.
Q. Is a thread lift right for you?
A. Thread Lifts are recommended for people who are looking to combat signs of ageing caused by reduced collagen production. A Thread Lift is a great alternative to surgery but gives long lasting results ranging from 12 to 18 months.
Thread Lifts aren’t suitable for everyone, including those who are pregnant or breastfeeding or who suffer from anti-coagulation or auto-immune conditions.
Q. How does a thread lift treatment feels?
A. You may experience some mild discomfort during your Thread Lift, however a local anesthetic will be used to minimize any pain caused and to prevent any soreness.
Q. How long will the results last?
A. The treatment results can last up to 18 months. Factors such as exposure to the sun and lifestyle choices may affect how long results last. An ongoing effective daily skincare regime is crucial to help promote and achieve optimum results. Wear a sunscreen with a minimum of SPF 30 daily to help protect your skin against sun damage and ageing.
Q. What is the after care?
A. It’s not recommended to undergo any treatments on your face or dental treatment during the week following your treatment. Any contact sports should also be avoided for the first few weeks and if possible sleep on your back to avoid complications.
Q. Are thread lifts safe?
A. Thread Lifts are completely safe when performed by a specially trained doctor.
Q. Can a thread lift be combined with other treatment?
A. Yes, it can. Popular treatments such as dermal fillers and skin peels can sometimes be taken at the same time. Upon your consultation you will be able to discuss your specific concern and treatment needs.
You may experience some light bruising, puckering of the skin, dimples from the entry points of the threads, swelling or redness after the treatment; however these side effects are completely normal and will subside on their own within a few days. In the event of pain, take a pain reliever as advised by Dr. Reema Arora.
